After a three-year hiatus, New Zealand Fashion Week: Kahuria (NZFW) is delighted to announce the release of its highly anticipated runway schedule and events programme.
From August 29 to September 2, this prestigious event will witness the convergence of the world’s most established and emerging designers alongside esteemed local and international buyers, artists and fashion enthusiasts.
The city’s Viaduct Events Centre and selected venues will play host to immersive fashion experiences, showcasing cutting-edge designs, captivating entertainment and more.
“We are delighted to reveal the full line up of world-class designers who are part of our redesigned and reimagined event
in 2023,” Yasmin Farry, General Manager of New Zealand Fashion Week: Kahuria says. “After a three-year hiatus we are thrilled to showcase a truly wonderful collection of established and emerging creative talents from around Aotearoa on Auckland’s waterfront, with an event that has a bold vision to showcase inclusivity, innovation, and creativity on the global fashion event circuit.”
The festivities start with the eminent designer, Kiri Nathan, setting the stage for a series of special presentations. Renowned names including Rory William Docherty, Jacqueline-Anne, Campbell Luke, Juliette Hogan, NOM*d, Kathryn Wilson, Kate Sylvester, Liz Mitchell, Kharl WiRepa, Jockey, as well as promising emerging designers like One of None, Nineteen99 and The House of VA, will also grace the runway.
Selected runway shows will be accessible to a global audience through live-streaming on the NZFW website, allowing fashion enthusiasts to partake in the event’s allure from anywhere in the world.
Beyond the 30-odd trade runway shows, NZFW offers many options to cater to various preferences and tastes. Collaborative showcases will be among the highlights, including the Pacific Fusion Fashion Show, Resene Designer Runway, VIVA Next Gen, Go Media Miromoda Group, and The Graduate Show.
A diverse array of panel discussions, workshops, and other engaging events will take place, further solidifying the event’s status as the pinnacle of the nation’s fashion calendar.
This year, NZFW is excited to unveil an exclusive segment, Fashion Night, dedicated to showcasing emerging talents, adding an enriching dimension to the proceedings.
With meticulously curated fashion displays, commemorative milestones and an emphasis on nurturing upcoming talents, NZFW 2023 will offer a week brimming with ingenuity and distinctiveness.
