Since the world entered lockdown in March, fashion weeks and tradeshows were been cancelled, postponed or re-imagined for the digital space. In fact, only a handful of designers including Jacquemus, Dolce and Gabbana and Valentino have presented runway shows with the presence of an audience, albeit in a somewhat limited capacity. The opening of Copenhagen Fashion Week is bringing some normality back to our lives.
Copenhagen Fashion Week is the first official fashion week to reopen. The schedule includes a part-physical and part-digital range of instalments — pre-produced and live — including adapted runway shows, presentations, films, exhibitions, and installations.
With fashion week comes street style and the Danish fashion set has proven that not even a pandemic can throw them off their game. Billowy silhouettes in neutral tones were offset with chunky boots alongside bright prints and Havianas, reminding us why the Danes are so revered for their effortlessly cool style.
Street style photographer Nick Leuze has captured the looks taking Copenhagen Fashion Week street style to the next level.
