A group of top Māori designers under the Kāhui Fashion Collective have opened a pop-up store in Britomart, Auckland.

Browse and buy collections from designers including Kiri Nathan, Nichola Te Kiri, Campbell Luke, Adrienne Whitewood, J’AKE and Mitchell Vincent Collection.

“We’re really excited to be able to bring something unique, that hasn’t been seen here before. Or anywhere, really,” said Kiri Nathan, founder of the Kāhui Fashion Collective.

In a first-of-it’s-kind experience, the store is selling a range of high-end kākahu and jewellery.

“We are going to make the absolute most of every minute we have here. There’s a lot of responsibility that comes when you’re drawing from your culture. That’s our top priority. We’ve moved into this very contemporary and commercial space and we have to question ourselves at every step. We have a real sense of responsibility to get it right,” said Nathan, on the department store style pop-up.

The Kāhui Fashion Collective pop-up store is open until March 15. Stop by and support our local designers.
