Meadowlark has recently been picked up by Net-A-Porter, opening the jewellery brand to a new global audience. We caught up with co-founder Claire Hammon for a quick Q&A about this exciting development.
Meadowlark x Net-A-Porter
Influenced by art, fashion and skate culture, Meadowlark’s founders Claire Hammon and Greg Fromont describe their jewellery as “tiny artworks” that are meant to be cherished forever.
Congratulations on being brought on to Net-A-Porter, how are you feeling?
We are so excited to launch on to Net-A-Porter, it’s always been a big goal of ours and now that we are there it feels amazing, we love that we now are reaching new customers from this phenomenal global platform, and look forward to an ongoing partnership with Net-a-Porter.
Do you envisage your new Net-A-Porter presence influencing future collections?
We really don’t know how it will influence collections yet, we do know so far that we will be designing a lot more jewellery a lot more often.
Your pieces have been seen on some of the world’s coolest women including Rihanna, Grimes and Zoe Kravitz.
We are really lucky to have had some amazing women choose to wear Meadowlark. Each situation is different, sometimes it’s a request from a stylist. Sometimes we might contact them introducing our work or they might contact us. With Rihanna, she was shooting for W magazine and loved the jewellery so much she asked to keep it.
Do you have any plans to create exclusive pieces for Net-a-Porter?
We have created one piece exclusively for Net-a-Porter, the Baroque Pearl Endless Hoop Earring featuring a pretty soft pink pearl. The Romeo hoops are also only in stock at Net-a-Porter or directly through Meadowlark.
