The fashion industry has turned a sharp corner on its stance on the use of animal fur, with luxe houses like Tom Ford and Gucci announcing their plans to go fur-free. It’s satisfying to see Givenchy joining the movement – yes, those glorious furs with their assertive shoulders and cinched waists that opened the show are synthetic.
