Know someone who loves fashion as much as wine? Stolen Girlfriends Club and Master of Ceremonies have joined forces to release a limited-edition sparkling rosé that doesn’t look – or taste –  like any old wine. Featuring signature Stolen Girlfriends Club prints and their take on the Master of Ceremonies signature rose, the bottle is sure to capture attention all summer long.

Master of Ceremonies x Stolen Girlfriends Club

For Master of Ceremonies, entering the sparkling market was a natural progression since the launch of their Vintage Classic Rosé in 2016. Their partnership with iconic label Stolen Girlfriends Club demonstrates the brand’s bold ethos as they work to shake up the wine industry.

“Stolen has been breaking barriers in their industry for years so in our minds it was a perfect fit. We got into this business to do things differently and entering the sparkling market alongside such an iconic New Zealand fashion brand is an incredible step for us.”- Master of Ceremonies director Nick Marshall

The project is also the first of its kind for Stolen Girlfriends Club, too. With complete creative freedom, the team were able to deliver their first wine collab that is visually compelling and tastes great.

“We don’t like to follow the rules and always love to challenge the norm. It’s something we are proud of and it’s a huge part of our brand’s culture, and Master Of Ceremonies shares that same approach with us.” – Marc Moore, Stolen Girlfriends Club

The rebellious feel of the artwork against the refined pink hue of the wine makes for a perfectly balanced juxtaposition. On describing the creation, Marc sums it up, saying it’s “A little bit dishevelled, a little bit beautiful and every bit desirable.”

Rosé all day

Like all great things, Master of Ceremonies started when a group friends wanted to do something different, something to shake up the industry. Something… pink.  Those friends were Jay and Anna Reeve, Mat Croad, and Nick Marshall – all firm believers in fine wines and good times.

Teaming up with world-renowned Hawke’s Bay winemakers they add their own twist of pink to the market. The result is a French-styled rosé, grown on the sunny plains of Gisborne, a revolution in the NZ rosé scene.

Nick dropped into FashionTV NZ HQ and brought a few bottles of their classic rosé to enlighten us on the notes and nuances of the season’s must-have wine.

From the moment Nick introduced us to the elegant bottle and poured the subtle and understated contents into our glasses, we were in love. A bouquet of apple, lemon zest, strawberry and subtle savoury characters initially greeted our senses. From the first sip, subtle fruit flavours burst from our glass, the crisp acidity leading to a lengthy mouth-watering finish. And a refill.

We wanted to know, with a product this good, surely they will be expanding into more products? He teased us with his reply,

“We haven’t nailed it down yet but there is something excititng happening”.

We’ll raise a glass to that.

Master of Ceremonies X Stolen Girlfriends Club sparkling rosé is available at Glengarry stores and selected wine and hospitality outlets throughout New Zealand. But hurry – it won’t be around for long!
