On November 6th, Dame Trelise Cooper and SkyCity Auckland partnered for the first annual Fashion on Federal – the very best of fashion and food for the 2017 Melbourne Cup. The glamorous event was set across five of SkyCity’s stylish restaurants, Huami, Gusto at the Grand, MASU by Nic Watt, The Grill by Sean Connolly and The Sugar Club.
Fine food, fabulous fashion and Flemington met on Federal
Dame Trelise Copper showcased her beautiful Trelise Cooper and Cooper SS 2018 collections on more than a dozen models with a runway show that was more than 400 metres long and looped through the restaurants.

Best dressed judges
The grand finale was hosted in the lofty heights of The Sugar Club on Level 53 of the Sky Tower in time to catch the Melbourne Cup race. In true Melbourne Cup style, guests were dressed to impress with the ‘Best Dressed’ selected from each of the five restaurants by Dame Trelise Cooper and her judging team – Aki Ang from thesleekavenue.com, Luke Bird and Michiko Hylands.
