DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, are giving us all the opportunity to learn how to best enhance our individualised looks by launching ‘The Foundations of Beauty’, a bookable one-on-one complimentary beauty school available in store over the month of August.

The ‘Foundations of Beauty’ course encourages all to come in and learn about the three foundations of beauty – skin, brows and enhancing your features – with an individualised, hour-long tutorial with the experts.

The event brings together DFS’ entire luxe cache of beauty brands showcased in-store within a popup interactive beauty school area, designed to educate and empower their customers. Beauty enthusiasts will be treated to an indulgent offering of luxe beauty experiences.

Featuring some of Auckland’s most talented skincare experts, brow technicians and make-up artists who have been invited to demonstrate tips, trends and techniques using DFS’ newly launched and latest array of beauty products.

“We are thrilled to welcome customers in-store with this experience,” Jasmin Green, General Manager of DFS Auckland, said in a press release. “The interactive ‘look and learn’ sessions have been intentionally designed to educate, empower and equip our customers, helping them to understand the foundations of a beauty regime.”

Held over the four weekends in August, each luxe pamper session is best enjoyed with a friend, and customers will need to book ahead for two people in each session. Each complimentary experience comprises of a 50-minute tutorial that includes a skincare analysis, brow grooming, and professional makeover tips and tricks.

Additional sign-up perks include delicious cocktails served during the afternoon sessions from 1 pm to 5 pm or a glass of champagne outside of the happy hours. Along with an event souvenir, guests can receive a voucher to spend in-store after the event and a chance to win a $400 voucher through the lucky draw. To complement the ‘Foundations of Beauty’ campaign, anyone can pop in store for a 15-minute skin consultation across the month.

Throughout the campaign period, DFS invites customers from around the world to discover the limitless possibilities of beauty, from premium skincare and fragrances to new and emerging trends, through a combination of in-store activations as well as a fully interactive, shoppable digital luxury playground. Featuring three themes, the campaign celebrates today’s confident, daring and imaginative beauty connoisseur in real life as well as in the boundless and magical metaverse.

A series of experiential multi-brand and premium brand zones from some of your favourite leading designer beauty brands are also available within the DFS metaverse for customers to discover the latest in beauty through fun, interactive games and experiences.

The experience will demonstrate easy, uncomplicated and timesaving looks for on-the-go and low-maintenance beauty addicts. The fluid cosmetics and scents are inspired by digital filters and virtual worlds. Each look is supported by DFS’ highly curated range of products, allowing every customer to open their horizons with the latest in beauty.

Upon spending $350 or more in-store, customers will receive a Beauty Guide mystery box, each containing a random Beauty Guide collectible figurine, with a total of five styles to collect. The figurines have detachable body parts, allowing customers to mix and match to create their very own Beauty Guide.
