And halfway through fashion month, as the time-zone hopping begins to really take its toll, Fendi offered its all-star lineup – Kaia Gerber, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Adwoa Aboah – a universal solution to tired eyes – artfully applied eyeliner.
Makeup artist Peter Philips gave each girl’s bare glow a graphic, light-catching smudge of alabaster pigment on the inner corners of the eyes. The touches of white not only widened and brightened each gaze, but served as a cool pop against the muted grey, beige, and olive shades of the collection’s patent plaid trenches, pleated midi dresses, and sumptuous fur coats.
So, whether you’re travelling internationally or just plain sleep-deprived, a slapdash swipe of white eyeliner can go a long way to making you look (even though you don’t feel) fresh.
